Submitted by dream on March 22, 2012 - 15:01.
One of the first computer art images created with ASCII characters in 1966 by graphics artist Kenneth Knowlton and Leon Harmon who worked at the Bell Laboratories. This is a scanned photo of dancer Deborah Hay, converted to ASCII characters. On October 11th, 1967 it was printed in the New York Times and over a year later the image was exhibited at one of the first computer art exhibitions in history, held in the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. |
