Nevado Ojos del Salado ("snowy eyes of the salty river") is the highest volcano on earth at 6,891 m (22,608 ft), geologically a stratovolcano located in the Andes on the Argentina-Chile border. This is also the second highest mountain in the Western Hemisphere and the highest in Chile.
