1. How do I sign up?

You have to provide just a Username and a valid e-mail address to get the password. Also, you have to provide your real name, date of birth, gender, city, province/state and country of origin.

 

 

 

2. How do I keep my personal info private since I don't wish to display it publicly?

For desktop computers and laptops:

  1. Check that you are logged in and click on the User Info option of the username drop-down menu (4th drop-down menu of the menu bar).
  2. Once you've opened your User Info page, click the Edit button, at the top of your User Info page.
  3. When the Edit Profile page is loaded, click the Personal Info option, and check or uncheck the boxes Do not display xx publicly located under each piece of information you want to keep private or not. For example, if you check the Do not display First Name publicly, your First Name will not be displayed publicly.
  4. Press the Submit button below and that's it.

For mobile devices:

  1. Check that you are logged in and click on the My User Info option of the menu. You can also click on your username located at the top of the page.
  2. Once you've opened your User Info page, click the Edit button, at the top of your User Info page.
  3. When the Edit Profile page is loaded, click the Personal Info option, and check or uncheck the boxes Do not display xx publicly located under each piece of information you want to keep private or not. For example, if you check the Do not display First Name publicly, your First Name will not be displayed publicly.
  4. Press the Submit button below and that's it.

 

 

 

3. How do I add a profile photo to my user profile?

4. How do I allow other users to contact me?

Note that site administrators will be able to contact you even if you choose not to enable this feature.
  4. Press the Submit button below and that's it.

8. How does the points system work?

Each time you create an article, you get 10 points that will be added to your user profile statistics. When you post a new article, you will earn contribution points. The users with most points are listed at the Top Users by Points section.

 

 

 

9. What kind of benefits do I get from the points system?

Besides the fact of being promoted to the top users charts as a major contributor of the community, there are no additional benefits for the users with most points.

Please remember, that submitting empty or meaningless articles is considered an infringement to the terms. Also, if you are not sure about the reliability of some information, please do not add it. All the information you submit must be truthful and accurate. Articles are monitored periodically by the staff of YouBioIt.com or reported by other users and if it's found wrong, improper, offensive or violates any of the terms and conditions of YouBioit.com, it might be edited or even deleted.

 

 

 

10. How do I check my points?

You can check your points at the statistics table of your User Info page.

Just click the Top Users option of the username drop-down menu (4th drop-down menu of the menu bar).

Of course it is. Since YouBioit.com is totally free, you have access to all the features of YouBioit.com for free. Since this community is supported by advertising, everything you see or do here is for free.

 

 

 

15. What are the benefits of having friend users?

Currently, the most important benefit is the possibility of publishing private articles which only can be seen by friend users. Of course, those private articles have less chances of becoming popular due to their restricted accessibility compared to unrestricted ones. However, if your intention is to build a private group or community or you don't want to share your articles with everyone, but just a selected group, this system is what you are looking for.

 

 

 

16. What are the Instant webcam photos?

Each registered user can take instant webcam photos directly from their browsers. It's pretty easy, you just need a webcam connected to your computer (in the case of laptops, most of them have embedded cameras) and the rest is done by the YouBioit.com instant photos system for you. These instant photos are posted on your User Info page. Please, note that your instant photos have no relation with the photos you upload to your photoalbums.
